Remi5 is a growing financial consulting company with clear requirements for a modern, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure.
Remi5, as a financial and insurance advisory firm, specializes in the professional handling of sensitive customer data. As the company grew, the need for a modern, flexible, and at the same time secure IT infrastructure increased. The collaboration began at an early stage and has since evolved into a long-term IT support partnership.
About the Project
The goal of the project was to build a future-proof IT infrastructure that ensures both security and seamless collaboration.

At the core of the project was the implementation of a dedicated server infrastructure with an integrated Nextcloud platform. This created a centralized, GDPR-compliant solution for secure file storage and efficient internal collaboration. For communication, a cloud-based STARFACE phone system was deployed, offering flexible usage – including mobile access and home office integration.

A key highlight was the development of a custom CRM system that consolidates multiple portfolio platforms and centrally maps all customer-related processes. The setup was further enhanced with Microsoft 365, featuring professional email archiving via MailStore, as well as a multi-layered backup strategy hosted on redundantly designed ASM servers.

By deploying a high-performance firewall and intelligent security mechanisms, a resilient, GDPR-compliant IT infrastructure was established – fully prepared for future growth.

Goals of the Project

The project aimed to establish a holistic IT infrastructure tailored to the specific requirements of a growing financial services provider. The following key aspects were at the core of the implementation:

  1. Ensuring IT security and future readiness
    A modern, high-performance, and GDPR-compliant IT environment was designed to provide maximum system availability, data integrity, and protection against unauthorized access.

    By introducing a hybrid file storage solution based on Nextcloud, cross-team collaboration was significantly improved while maintaining full control over sensitive data.
  3. Implementing location-independent communication
    A cloud-based STARFACE telephony system was deployed to establish a flexible communication infrastructure that fully supports mobile work and home office setups.
  4. Creating centralized control of customer processes
    The goal was to develop a customized CRM system capable of managing multiple custody platforms, enabling clear and centralized administration of customer information.
  5. Ensuring professional communication and archiving
    The integration of Microsoft 365 along with legally compliant email archiving via MailStore standardized the working environment and ensured long-term retention of business-critical communication.
  6. Actively preventing data loss
    A well-designed backup strategy with redundant storage on internal ASM backup servers reliably protects against data loss and system failures.

Modern Communication Infrastructure & Digital Presence for PS-Finanz
For our client PS-Finanz, we implemented a secure and flexible communication solution that is fully usable both in the office and while working from home.

The project included the implementation of a hardware-based on-premises telephone system, which can also be used independently of location thanks to a dedicated VPN server and an integrated Firewall-as-a-Service solution. In addition, antivirus software was deployed to secure all end devices.

Internet connectivity is provided via a high-performance DSL connection through STARFACE, ensuring stable voice and data communication. Furthermore, we completely redesigned and implemented the new PS-Finanz website — modern, responsive, and user-friendly.

The result: a future-proof IT foundation that enables professional communication and a strong, compelling online presence.
